Bites

Electronic gadgetry hasn't been working in my favor lately. As it happens, Instagram has quickly supplemented my lack of a properly functioning laptop, at least in terms of sharing the food-related part of my day-to-day (as well as the usual miscellany). Thank goodness for that new obsession.
Mojito time.
Deep-fried falafel, probably from Vegan with a Vengeance (although I really can't recall).
Mushroom cauliflower risotto.
Vegan gianduja on toasted, homemade bread.

Homemade whole wheat tortillas.
Minimalist raw purple kale salad with pickled, roasted golden beets.
Chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream, inspired by and adapted from The Vegan Scoop.
Impromptu Thai green curry, with a hodgepodge of veggies and baked tofu.
The beginnings of fresh strawberry jam, made with local berries.
Spiced spaghetti squash and chickpeas: yet another hodgepodge of spices and veggies.
On an unrelated note, Foodista recently featured my Asian dumplings post as the Food Blog of the Day for 02 June, 2012. I'm truly honored. Thanks, Foodista!

  1. What's gianduja? Is that like Nutella for vegans?

  2. Yes, it's a generic term for chocolate hazelnut spreads (e.g., Nutella).
